Trustee Role – Get Together – Joining Families Living with Autism

This is an exciting opportunity to be on the Management Committee of this successful, expanding organisation and an opportunity to develop and utilise your skills to ensure the organisation is governed in line with Charity Law and our Plan for the Future.

The Role

We are seeking volunteers  to join our Management Committee with the potential to become a Trustee at our next AGM. The Management Committee is made up of 8 trustees with a wide range of experience and skills. They are committed to ensuring the charity remains true to its aims and objectives and more importantly our members.

The role of a Trustee is voluntary and therefore unpaid.  The Committee meets quarterly and currently has no sub-committees so the sole responsibility of organising all events and activities are subject at these meetings.

The main criteria for a Management Committee member are:

- To ensure that the Organisation meets its objectives according to the Constitution

- To ensure that the Organisation carries out its business according to the constitution and good practice

Trustee

- To enter into legal undertakings on behalf of the Organisation and to ensure that legal obligations are met

What we are looking for?

We hope to attract someone with some understanding of autism and its associated conditions; they do not have to have a relationship with someone on the spectrum.

Someone who is happy to help and support the team at events.  They must also be supportive and thoughtful of those on the Management Committee who do have children with autism and may not be as flexible with their time due to unexpected situations arising.

Fundraising Volunteers

Get Together organise fundraising events throughout the year and are always in need of volunteers to help at our events.

We are starting a register for any budding/willing volunteers to place their names on so that we can contact them should a need arise.

So if you are an enthusiastic individual, young or old who would like to contribute your time to helping raise funds for our lovely children’s  charity then please send us your details via our “Contact us” page.

We require your full name, age, address and telephone number plus any other details you may feel relevant.  One of our team will contact you to confirm these details and these will then be kept on a register and you will be contacted should such an event come up to check your availability.

If you are interested in applying for a position or would like some further details then please contact us at kellymills@gettogetherpage.co.uk or by phoning 07931 783183
